Here's a delightful little Aussie! Dating from the mid 1960s, this Diason 'Baby' 2x8" valve amp uses a pair of 6GW8 triode/pentode valves in the output giving around 8-10 watts, in effect being double the interesting Goldentone/Electravox amp we have here! There is some interesting information regarding Diason amplifiers on Roly Roper's excellent website (click here), with some very interesting contributions by Ken Palethorpe exploring the likely relationship with Goldentone. Also read Brad Coates' article on the Melmusic website here.

This thing must have been stored in a time capsule. The chassis has no visible corrosion, the original Rola Plessey speakers look fresh as they day they were made, and the tone is fantastic! And it even has tremolo, which can be switched on and off by an external switch or by a footswitch.

The amp functions flawlessly, and would be an ideal tone machine for home recording or for the collector. Totally original, totally unmolested, totally GROUSE!

Measurements are 43cm(W) x 35cm(H) x 18cm(D) and weight is 8kg.
