This little (32cm(h)x30cm(w)x16.5cm(d), and only 4kg) beauty is very original. Very low power, but TONE, TONE and more single-ended class-A TONE! Speaker is the original Sydney-made Alnico "MSP Hi-flux" 6" x 9". The power transformer code indicates a February 1962 build date, a little later than the delightful blue example we sold some time back. The valves used are 12AX7 preamp and 6M5 power pentode output, and the original 6V4 rectifier has been bypassed by a couple of diodes, probably to maximise the few watts that can be wrung out of this little amp. It would be a very simple procedure to put it back to valve rectification.

This is both a collectable and usable valve (or tube) amp, either as a practice amp or for home recording. The single-ended class A circuit sounds great, and breaks up into the greatest harmonics and overtones.

The grille cloth and reddish 'leatherette' covering are all totally original, and the serial number is 2418.
